Grant Writing & Supportive Services
Why hire a professional grant writer?
Nonprofit professionals are used to 'wearing a number of hats.' Grants and proposals are often a responsibility tacked on to a job description full of critical operational tasks. Outsourcing this work to someone skilled, with concentration dedicated to your funding needs, is an economical and efficient way to help your organization thrive.
Staggered Fee Schedule
When calculating my fee, I of course, take into consideration the number of hours it will take me to complete the project. This is based on my knowledge of the funder and the condition of your organization's documentation for the project. Some things I consider include:
· Is there an existing proposal from which to get started?
· Has the funder made a grant to your organization previously?
· Does the budget need a narrative explanation?
· Is there documentation about the program, such as evaluations, press recognition, or client testimonials?
· How available to me will the program director be?
Compatability
In the wake of a global pandemic it's increasingly important to be flexible, innovative and nimble. I enjoy the artful curation of data and stories into compelling and persuasive reasons for a funder's support.
